Delivered by Michael Bunting, leadership author, researcher, and founder of TripleGoal, these sessions are grounded in 30 years of research and global practice, alongside the latest research on what it means to lead in a rapidly changing AI-driven landscape.

The workshop format (1.5–4 hours, depending on your needs) is interactive and hands-on. It delivers clarity and measurable outcomes for your team and organisation.

The keynote format (60–90 minutes) is more concise but equally substantive. It’s ideal for conferences, leadership events, and all-hands sessions where time is limited but impact matters.

These sessions are suitable for a wide range of organisational contexts and audiences. They are most effective for:

  • Leadership teams wanting a high-impact session that delivers real tools and insights in a short timeframe
  • Conference and event organisers seeking an evidence-based keynote speaker on leadership, culture, and performance
  • HR and L&D teams wanting a provocative, practical starting point for a leadership development initiative
  • Organisations navigating change, such as acquisitions, restructures, culture resets, or low engagement scores, and wanting to spark important conversations about performance and accountability
  • Senior leaders looking to energise, align, or reorient their team around a critical leadership or culture challenge
These are not inspirational talks that feel good and fade fast. Every session is grounded in Michael Bunting’s original research, evidence-based frameworks, and real-world application.

Participants leave with specific insights about their own leadership and clear, practical actions.

Introductory Workshop: The Triple Goal of Great Leadership

Format: Interactive workshop | Duration: 3–4 hours | Delivery: In-person (recommended) or virtual (2 hours max)

Every organisation wants the same three things: exceptional performance, sustained innovation and learning, and genuinely engaged people.

The harder question is where to start and what to actually do differently. This interactive workshop addresses both.

Michael Bunting guides participants through the evidence-based tools and frameworks needed to close the gap between stated values and day-to-day behaviour. Research shows this gap can drain up to 40% of an organisation’s time and energy.

It is hands-on throughout. Participants don’t just hear the framework. They work with it.

Issues that have been quietly circulating in the organisation get surfaced and worked through constructively.

Specific behavioural patterns limiting performance, learning, and engagement are named, examined, and connected to a clear path forward.

What the Workshop Covers

The session moves through a structured arc:

Clarifying the goal.

Participants articulate what the organisation and individual leaders are trying to achieve, and what is currently getting in the way.

Mapping the behaviours.

The connection between leadership behaviour and organisational outcomes is made concrete. Participants identify both the Red Zone patterns holding the organisation back and the Green Zone practices that drive performance, innovation, and engagement.

Understanding the deeper drivers.

A deeper look at what actually drives behaviour, including identity, conditioning, and unconscious patterns, and how leaders can shift from defensiveness and blame into genuine ownership and accountability.

Committing to action.

Each leader identifies specific individual and collective practices to work on immediately, tied directly to improving the Triple Goal.

What Participants Walk Away With

Clarity on the evidence-based Green Zone behaviours that accelerate performance, innovation, and workplace engagement.
A deeper understanding of the Red Zone patterns currently limiting the organisation, named specifically, not generically.
Each leader’s own written commitment to the practices they will shift immediately.
A tangible increase in trust and openness within the group through guided reflection and honest dialogue.
A post-workshop summary document capturing the key findings, themes, and recommended next steps for the organisation.

Who This Is For

The workshop is most effective for executive teams, senior leadership cohorts, and larger leadership audiences, typically from CEO level down to middle management.

It is regularly delivered at annual leadership conferences and senior leadership offsites.

It works well across a wide range of organisational contexts: acquisitions and restructures, culture resets, lagging innovation, low engagement scores, and organisations wanting to strengthen their leadership pipeline.

It is not a good fit for organisations that don’t see a connection between behaviour and business outcomes, or for leadership teams with no genuine appetite for honest reflection.

“Michael helped us deliver our most successful leadership conference to date. Our NPS score doubled, and the highlight by far was Michael’s two-hour interactive keynote. He helped us create an event to remember and map a clear leadership and culture journey going forward.”
