The Story Behind Triple Goal

A leadership framework born from what organisations actually struggle to sustain.

TripleGoal is a leadership development organisation specialising in transformational leadership and culture change.

We believe that great leadership must deliver three outcomes at the same time—what we call the “Triple Goal”:

  1. Great Performance
  2. Great Learning
  3. Great Workplace

TripleGoal draws on more than 25 years of work with leaders at every level, across industries and geographies.

Our work integrates leadership research, adult development, and behavioural science to help leaders grow vertically—changing not just what they do, but how they think, decide, and lead under pressure.

Through the Leadership Growth Profile and our integrated programs, we help organisations build leadership capability that improves performance, accelerates learning, and creates workplaces where people can thrive.

Founded by Leadership Expert Michael Bunting

TripleGoal was founded by Michael Bunting, a leadership researcher, author, speaker, and practitioner with more than 25 years of experience working with leaders and organisations around the world.

Michael’s work began with a simple observation: leadership behaviour is the single most powerful driver of performance, learning, and workplace culture—yet most leadership development fails to change behaviour sustainably.

As the author of The Mindful Leader and Vertical Growth, Michael has spent decades researching and testing what enables leaders to grow beyond reactive habits and lead with greater awareness, accountability, and impact.

The Triple Goal framework and the Leadership Growth Profile emerged directly from this work—shaped by real-world application, global data, and sustained engagement with senior leaders across industries.

Today, Michael continues to steward the intellectual foundations of TripleGoal, certifying coaches and working alongside a global faculty to ensure the work remains rigorous, practical, and grounded in evidence rather than trends.

We Help You Close the Gap Between Intentions and Behaviour

We work with organisations facing a familiar challenge: the gap between leadership intent and leadership impact.

Leaders are capable, committed, and well-intentioned. Yet behaviours often drift away from values. Trust erodes, accountability weakens, learning slows, and performance becomes harder to sustain without burnout.

Our purpose is to help leaders and organisations close this gap.

That means:

Driving strong performance without exhausting people or compromising integrity.

Building the capacity to learn, adapt, and improve in complex and changing environments.

Creating cultures where honesty, accountability, and care coexist—because leadership requires both high standards and genuine humanity.

Who This Work Is For

We work best with coaches, organisations and leaders who are serious about development—not as an event or initiative, but as an ongoing discipline.

Our work is suited to those who want to:

  • Address the real behavioural drivers of performance and culture.
  • Build leadership capability that holds up under pressure.
  • Invest in learning that leads to sustained change, not short-term enthusiasm.

This work is not designed for quick fixes or superficial change. It requires honesty, effort, and commitment—and delivers results that endure.

Our Values

Our work is shaped by a set of values that guide how we engage with leaders, coaches and organisations.

Honesty

The key component of leadership growth.

As an organisation that focuses on leadership development, we put honesty first and foremost. In fact, we view this quality as the single most important element of leadership growth.

Our commitment to honesty is demonstrated by these two practices:

    1. We tell our clients the truth, no matter how risky or challenging. We are here to serve our clients, not to protect our insecurities or income.
    2.

    3. We never gossip, triangulate or speak behind anyone’s back. It’s the direct conversation or bust.

Kindness

The secret to deep self-development.

Kindness is the cornerstone of psychological safety, which in turn drives deeper development work. What’s more, we know that kindness and honesty must go hand-in-hand in order to engage in healthy relationships of all kinds.

Our commitment to kindness is demonstrated by these two practices:

    1. We speak and act from an intent to warmly include and befriend others.
    2.

    3. We remember that no-one needs fixing, they only need to remember they are already whole and worthy of the deepest respect. See them and treat them that way.

Accountability

The foundation of self-awareness.

When it comes to developing true self-awareness, accountability is paramount. Without it lies blame, denial, avoidance and dishonesty—which is why accountability is central to all we do.

Our commitment to accountability is demonstrated by these two practices:

  1. In any challenge or difficulty we ask ourselves “What’s my part in this?” first and we own it and grow from it.
  2.

  3. We hold each other to account for our agreed values and our commitments. We know accountability keeps us collectively on track with our values and aspirations.

A Global Faculty, One Standard

TripleGoal is delivered by a global network of certified coaches and consultants who work within a shared framework, language, and standard of practice.

This allows us to deliver consistent, scalable leadership development across regions, cultures, and organisational contexts—without diluting depth or rigour.

Wherever leaders are located, the work is grounded in the same evidence-based approach and commitment to real behavioural change.
